Digital Short-Film Festival (CalAA DigiShort Festival)
CalAA’s first Digital Short Film Festival will be held in January 2009.
The film should be made by the person(s) having origins in India. The basic objective is to encourage the artists coming from India or having roots in India.
CalAA will only host digital short films made from January 1, 2007 and October 31, 2008.
The submission must be filmed using a digital camera and not using a film (any format)
The maximum length of the film should not exceed 30 minutes including opening titles and credits.
If the film’s primary language is not English, then it must have English subtitles.
The film-maker should submit the film on a DVD (NTSC Format) in 2 copies. By submitting the copies, the film- maker allows CalAA to include the films in the promotion of this festival.
Entry Title, your name, functioning phone number and e-mail address should appear on the label of your DVD.
You must provide us with a valid e-mail address and telephone number/s. CalAA takes no responsibility if any communication made to all participants does not reach you because of invalid or unreachable e-mail address or telephone number/s.
If any copyrighted work is used in your film, the filmmaker must possess a written permission from the copyright holder or must own them.
After submitting entry for the Festival, the film cannot be withdrawn.
CalAA accepts no responsibility for films that are lost or damaged in transit.
Submitted entries will not be returned and will be considered as a collection of CalAA Digital Short Film Festival for Library/Archival purposes.
Decision of the Selection Committee will be final and bearing on all concerned filmmakers.
