California Arts Association (CalAA) was founded in April 2002 by San Francisco Bay Area professionals with a clear mission:
In short Cherish Art.... Through Art.... For Art....
- to produce challenging yet entertaining plays, music, dance and television programs
- to provide a forum and platform for performing arts presentations and appreciation for our vast talent pool in the Bay Area
- to invite renowned writers, directors and actors to share their creations with us
- to appreciate exceptional performing arts presentations by others live on stage and on screen
- to invest the profits from the programs back into archival of top quality presentations worldwide
- to provide assistance to the experimental pursuits by other like-minded organizations in North America
